Welcome to Taiwan ,the land of apologize.

Welcome to Taiwan ,the land of apologize.

The four words that Taiwanese often talk about. It's very strange for foreigners.

A Pair of sweet to the teeth of Taiwan lovers. They know each other deeply, hold  hands tightly with your fingers.Although Mr. Lin very affectionate to his fiancee Miss Young. But it's not easy to say Ilove you.Words to come to the mouth.Mr. Lin turned red.In Taiwan ,Sorry can be used to apologize or express shyness.Mr. Lin said. Many Taiwanese feel the same way.

A simple excuse me is enough to let you know the etiquette. This phrase consists of four Chinese characters. As a universal words. It can be used in various situations.Call the waiter politely.Express a deep apology to the boss.Or when you're confused and trying to tell.Taiwanese will talk about embarrassment, because Taiwanese are very polite. So when we interrupt or ask for help, will say "I'M sorry."We can even start a conversation with the excuse me.Taiwanese say sorry and speak very fast. It's sounds like the four words are almost linked together.

The western concept of sorry cannot express all social virtues. And I'm sorry to say that it's a broader social ritual.Sorry can also be an emotion ,a feeling , a code of conduct.Or the overall ideological basis of Taiwan culture.Take the MRT in Taipei. The passengers walked away cautionsly. You can hear the ups and downs, say sorry.Come into the classroom when you can hear the students' questions.Start with sorry. With a trace of guilt and gratitude.

And if you receive a gift from a ralative. The correct answer is not thank you.I'm sorry. It cost you money. For the uninformed.Taiwanese seems to be the most apologetic country in the world.

But I'm sorry about culture. It represents the modesty and shyness of Taiwanese.Taiwanese will talk about embarrassment.Because Taiwanese are very polite.  We can even conversations with others with embarrassment. As you see and hear today.Taiwan's apology culture has a lot to do with decardes of Japanese colonial and Confucian moral education.Although I don't know the exact origin of embarrssment. But some linguists believe. It is mainly the product of thousands of year of Confucian harmonious thought. The core of Confucian harmonious thought is to the relationship between body and body rather than personal relationship. They think Maintaining social cohesion at all costs. It is still cornerstone of social morality in Taiwan.

In Taiwan, the interests of the family and social must be placed aboved the interests of the individual. In addition,Taiwan's culture of shame. It is also partly influenced by the sumimasen apology culture in Japan. Both of them have profound historical origins. All in all.The habit of saying sorry often prevents further escalation. The tarditional Taiwan culture is more delicate.Be more considerate of others.Try to be polite with others.Sorry culture reveals the modest and shy side of Taiwan.Sorry,it's widely used.On the one hand,it creates a culture atmosphere of obedience and emphasis on etiquette.

On the other hand,it also reflects yhe incomparable etiquette of Taiwanese. For tourists to Taiwan, this explains why I'm sorry in Chinese. It's easy to bring you to into a semantically complex follow up conversation. This culture is unique to Taiwan. It does not exist in other Chinese speaking areas.Althought you can hear one after another on the streers of Taiwan,I'm sorry. But in mainland China or Malaysia, because it doesn't respect politeness rhetoric as much as Taiwan does.I don't often fear that kind of sorry.

According to a survey of foreigners released by InterNations.Taiwan has been rated as one of the most friendly countries in the world.About 90% of the expatriates in Taiwan give a high score on the way they treat foreigners. In other regions, the average is 65%.According to the survey of more than 12500 respondents worldwide. There are now more than a third of foreigners in Taiwan is considering settling on this small Pacific island.

When it comes to Taiwan, the most impressive thing among mainland Chinese people who come to Taiwan to travel or study is that they are polite, gentle, and nice.I hope that friends from all over the world can experience Taiwan’s sorry culture in addition to traveling or tasting food in Taiwan. I believe that everyone will better appreciate the saying "The most beautiful scenery in Taiwan is people"

Some places and things that foreigners love most about Taiwan when traveling in Taiwan

.

There are now more and more tourists in Taiwan. To be honest, there are many things in Taiwan or other countries’ natural landscapes, but what’s special is that

A small piece of land in Taiwan can contain so many special wonders at one time, so Taiwan is said to be a treasure island! There are also warm and friendly Taiwanese and Taiwanese snacks,

In recent years, the number of foreign tourists in Taiwan has grown rapidly. Let's take a look at the following places that foreigners love Taiwan when they travel to Taiwan!

The Palace Museum:

correct! Many foreigners love to go to the Forbidden City! There are many exquisite ancient Chinese cultural relics in the Forbidden City, such as the famous jade jade cabbage, Dongpo meat, bronze ware, etc.

They are super attractive to foreigners. Many foreigners love Chinese culture more than Chinese people! Of course, the appearance of the Forbidden City is also very Chinese,

Now there is also a Jinghua restaurant in the Palace Museum next to it, where you can eat jade cabbage in your stomach, it's super special!

Din Tai Fung:

Any foreigner who comes to Taiwan and asks what he wants to eat, he will answer "Ding Tai Fung" in unanimous terms, or if foreign customers come to Taiwan, they must also take them there.

Wrong, Din Tai Fung is so famous in the world, and he has won numerous awards, won the first place in Asia's best restaurant, and has a Michelin star!

The must-order is of course the 18% off Xiaolongbao! And other meals are also delicious~

night market:

What is Taiwan's super famous? Of course it is the "night market." The shops on both sides and the roadside stalls in the middle crowded the small night market.

The most famous Taiwanese snacks are even more famous, such as fried oysters, chicken chops, pork blood cakes, large intestines wrapped in small intestines, snow ice...there are endless.

And every foreigner can always find several kinds of snacks that suit his own taste among the many snacks, so there is a saying among the foreigners that the only thing to worry about when coming to Taiwan,

Just go home several kilograms of fat.

Taipei 101:

Foreigners also love to visit Taipei 101. She was once the tallest building in the world.

The building has the second largest giant damper in the world and the only one open to tourists in the world (the other is the Shanghai Tower).

In 2019, the roof terrace above the 101st floor with an elevation of 460 meters will be opened. This viewing platform has become the world's highest outdoor roof viewing trail.

101 has greatly increased the recognition of Taipei's night scenes, and the new film LUCY by the famous French director Lu Besson has also come to shoot!

The Taipei 101 New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display is the Taipei 101 Building in Taipei City since the end of 2004. It has been fixed for a few minutes from December 31 to January 1 of the following year.

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall:

Buildings with heavy Chinese flavor, in addition to the main building with a blue roof, the two halls next to it are also spectacular. And foreigners actually like to watch the guard handover ceremony on the hour,

It's really quite solemn! There is also a beautiful Chinese palace garden in the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, which is also a place that foreigners will like.

Mengjia Longshan Temple:

In the incense-rich Longshan Temple, the air is filled with incense and mist, and the exquisitely carved pillars, walls, roofs and halls keep muttering to pray to the gods to give the holy grail pilgrims,

There is also a mother-in-law who helps people get shocked. These special elements make foreigners involuntarily pick up the camera and take pictures!

Maokong and Maokong Gondola:

Tea is a very special culture in the East. It is different from the British afternoon tea! So foreigners are also very interested in making tea. In Maokong,

You can go to the tea garden and make tea while watching the scenery. The scenery during the day and night is very beautiful! The cat cable is also somewhat different from foreign cable cars.

The cat cable is very steep, a small room can only do 4 people, and the speed is surprisingly fast!

Pingxi:

Want your wish to stand out among the many begging wishes, and get closer to God so that he can see it first? Then come to Pingxi to release the sky lanterns!

Foreigners can be said to be novel and fun about the sky lantern. They often say, "Does the Chinese God who write English understand?" Well, it is indeed a good question.

Especially during the Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, thousands of sky lanterns are placed in the sky together, which is super spectacular!

Jiufen:

In addition to the movie "City of Sadness", there are also Jiufen in the animated film "The Hidden Girl" by Hayao Miyazaki in Japan. Speaking of this old town of Caikuo, with mountains and sea behind,

There are also winding staircases. Outside the buildings full of flavor in the old streets, there are red lanterns hanging high, which are not available in other places.

Foreigners will seem to have come to another world. There are many tea houses on both sides of the stairs, where you can have tea and chat. And be sure to take foreigners to taste the famous taro balls!

Although they will say it is very similar to pearl~

Taroko:

Taroko has just been ranked as the second most popular national park in Asia by global travelers in 2014 by Agoda! Taroko is really the first choice for many foreigners in Taiwan

, Mainlanders/Japanese/European and American foreigners all love this place. Taroko has spectacular grand canyons, streams, waterfalls, caves,

There are also beautiful scenery and rich natural ecology along the way, which are really charming and special!

Pearl milk tea:

Some foreigners may not know Taiwan, but they must know "Pearl Milk Tea". Taiwan is the birthplace of bubble tea, and it is the light of alternative Taiwan.

The pearls of QQ bombs are paired with fragrant milk tea. It is really easy for sweet foreigners to become the main customers. Many Taiwanese outside the pearl milk tea shops opened in foreign countries,

There are often long queues, and there are also classes abroad that teach how to make bubble tea!

Ubike bike sharing:

Every major city in Taiwan has Ubike, and you can see the streets and lanes, men, women, old and children, a bunch of people riding bicycles whizzing past. There are many foreign tourists holding maps at major intersections. In addition to riding on bicycle paths in the city, you can enjoy the popular attractions.

And now the first 30 minutes are free, which is a great boon for tourists who love to save money. The point is, we Ubike rides well, and we have gears~

Taiwanese:

It is often said that the most beautiful scenery in Taiwan is people, which is not wrong at all.

Anyone who has played abroad knows that if the experience of staying abroad for a period of time is more profound, we Taiwanese are really good friends and so cute.

Foreigners often say, "You Taiwanese are so enthusiastic~

Is it still unclear to ask for directions on the road? Taiwanese say: It’s okay, we will take you there. What? You said that it was the first time you drank pearl milk tea. I will give you a lot of pearls to make you bite.

From passers-by to hawkers, Taiwanese people are really warm and often put "thank you" on their lips. This is the big reason why many foreigners visit Taiwan again or introduce friends to Taiwan.

In addition to these places, Taiwan is small but there are many interesting places. In the future, I will continue to introduce more fun or delicious and beautiful attractions in Taiwan to everyone.
